The prospect of starting your own company can be scary. There are a lot of fears associated with a startup:
- How much will it cost me?
- What if others see me as a failure?
- I don’t have any experience, so how do I know if I’m qualified?
- What if I lose business after I start?
- I don’t know where to start, and how to grow after I do.
There are so many questions and fears when first starting out that it’s no wonder that many never even try. That’s where you come in. You CAN do it. You CAN be successful. You CAN excel where many others have. You CAN create a recurring income stream to support yourself and your family. You CAN be an entrepreneur. You CAN convince others you have something valuable to offer them. You CAN create a business that affords you a favorable lifestyle. You CAN succeed. You CAN.
But first, you have to try.
If thousands of others have started cleaning companies and had success, don’t you think it’s possible that you can be successful also? At the end of the day we aren’t landing on the moon or discovering time travel. We are simply following steps others have taken to create prosperous businesses. These are steps that I followed (along with some mistakes sprinkled in) and found what others claimed to be true. No one is going to approach you and offer you a cleaning business. You have to go out and build it.
Experience is not a necessity
When I started a cleaning business I had zero experience. If you can clean your own home, you are capable of cleaning someone else’s. It may take some practice learning to be efficient with your time, but it gets easier the more you do it. If there was something I didn’t know how to do, I reached out to other professionals in cleaning forums or sought advice from my local janitorial supply store. There hasn’t been anything, from stripping floors to pressure washing buildings, that I haven’t been able to find someone willing to help.
So, if you can push through the fears that hinder you in the beginning, it CAN be done and it WILL be YOU who does it!
